Unusual residential property that includes its very own functioning post office has become the talk of Facebook as it hit the market for $440,000 in Paeonian Springs, Virginia, US. The home offers a cosy living room, a large porch for relaxation, three bedrooms, and ample storage space. But the unique feature of the property is the fully operational post office that is attached to the house. With a sign reading ‘United States Post Office’ and a flag, the shop is also rented out to the United States Postal Service, generating additional income for the owner while they live in the home.
Even though the USPS lease can be terminated, the property listing mentions that the buyer can keep renting it out. The viral photos of the quirky property gained more than 3,500 likes and hundreds of comments on Facebook. Many of the social media users were fond of the post office aspect, with some noting that living beside it could help in getting to know the neighbours or reduce the chances of missing a delivery.
Sara Duncan Realty is offering the home for sale. The property listing also highlights that the house is situated in a historic town and is located on a quiet and established street. It reads, “This is a listing you do not see often.”
